I'm excited and almost a little embarrassed to admit that I am a Lush virgin. I have used lush products before but only after stealing them from my sister and if I'm quite honest I find Lush shops quite scary. The staff are so friendly and lovely but it can get abit overwhelming and I freak out and end up leaving with nothing. However, yesterday during a trip to Harrogate I braved it and was determined to have the Lush experience.
All the staff were so nice and because I'd done some research on what I wanted to pick up I managed to get some goodies!!!
First off I picked up this little guy. This is the melting snowman and here's how it's described on the Lush website :
" Warm up on cold days with this comforting Christmas spice-scented bath melt that helps you shake off festive fatigue. Made with enriching almond oil and cocoa butter, this is the only snowman you'll enjoy watching melt away, leaving behind nothing but soft skin. Drop into your bath water and enjoy the warming essential oil blend that's like bathing in a hot toddy."
I'm super excited to try this out and I've heard great reviews about it. He's so cute though I think I'll feel guilty about killing him :(
Next I picked up the Holly Golightly bubble bar. The lush website says about this product :
" Come on in out of the cold and wrap yourself up in this comforting Christmas blanket of a bubble bar. Break the generously-sized pudding into two and crumble under running water. Its festive spice fragrance is like bathing in a hot toddy, perfect for getting you in the Christmas spirit."
This product is sooooo glittery , there's glitter everywhere but I can't wait to try it. It's pretty big as well so hopefully it will last a few baths? We'll see, but the descriptions for these products are making me feel so festive and excited ahhhhhh
I then purchased this Father Christmas bath bomb:
"A festive bath bomb to bring Santa's presence into the bath. Once you pop this jolly bomb in your bath, it turns your water from bright red to vivid green. This year, Father Christmas will fill your bathroom with the popular sweet scent of Snow Fairy. All we want for Christmas is this Santa, baby!"
Looks like a pretty standard bath bomb but it has Father Christmas' face on it so can't complain really.
I've heard SO much about Snow Fairy shower gel. I'm pretty sure it's like the most popular Christmas product from Lush or something because when I admitted to the lady I'd never had it she literally looked at me like I was insane.
" Add some Christmas sparkle to your day with this candy-sweet shower gel. Snow Fairy is back again this year, bringing its fairy dust magic into your shower, now with the addition of skin-softening seaweed"
I bought the small 100g bottle because as I'm a newbie I just wanted to try it and see whether I liked it or not. It smells VERY sweet in the bottle. I'm not sure whether it's so sweet when you use it but I'll try it out tonight. I wouldn't say it was an unpleasant smell but it smells really sweet and sugary.
Last of all I picked up the Hot Toddy shower gel. Again only the small bottle as I'm trying things out but OH MY GOODNESS. This shower gel smells like christmas in a bottle. I'm sniffing it as I write this and it smells spicey and festive and I just love it.
"With all the spice of a Christmas market, this deep red shimmering shower gel is sure to blow away the bah humbugs. Laced with softening seaweed, fresh ginger, cinnamon leaf oil and cleansing lemon oil, this will warm up even the chilliest of days and bring a sparkle to your shower."
I might have to go back and get a bigger bottle of this...
