Micellar Cleansing Water Review // MostlyMilly

Super super super sad and disappointed that I didn’t manage to post at all this week. I have been desperately ill with my anxiety ( to the point where I couldn’t eat, hardly talk or leave the house) BUT I am determined to be on the mend and with the help of valium and positive thinking I’ll be back to normal and posting regularly in no time :)

Recently I watched a youtube video of a review on this Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water and it made me want to give it a try.  This cleansing water claims  to remove makeup, cleanse, soothe and all without rinsing. It says it’s ‘even for sensitive skin’  and is ‘hypo allergic’ and also states there’s no perfume. I wouldn’t say I have extremely sensitive skin or that I’m particularly picky when it comes to taking my makeup off. Don’t judge me but I do usually go for the handy pack of makeup wipes and hope for the best , however recently I’ve made it my mission to take more care of my skin and pay more attention to my skin care routine.

I find the packaging so pretty , which is probably sad of me to get excited over a bottle of cleanser but I do tend to get excited over silly things. I bought this off amazon for a whopping £6.18 + £2.20 shipping due to the fact I’m lazy and couldn’t be bothered to go and grab it from my local boots for £5.00.

This 400ml bottle claims to last 200 uses which is pretty brilliant if it really does.

Personally I think this is a great product to use for general makeup removal as it works really well and you need hardly any product to remove a full face of makeup. It’s so gentle on your skin and leaves it feeling soft and refreshed. I don’t have dry skin but I’ve been told by someone who has that this cleanser doesn’t dry out their skin or irritate it at all.  This product against another cleansers such as Bio Derma is so much better value for money.

Although this cleanser will remove your face makeup easily I would say that because it’s such a gentle product, it does take a little more effort to remove your eye makeup such as mascara,. It does eventually get all the eye makeup off but if you wear a fair amount of eye makeup I would recommend using a separate eye makeup remover.

A regular cotton pad is all you need to apply this product and it will remove your makeup instantly, gently and won’t leave a greasy residue, much like other cleansers that leave your skin feeling oily and sticky.
