Milani baked blushes and illuminating face powder review // MostlyMilly

Hello again!
Recently I’ve been trying out the American makeup brand Milani. I purchased these 3 baked blushes and an illuminating face powder from Amazon and they came very quickly. I believe I paid around £5 for each product and so far I’m very impressed. As far as I’m aware, Milani isn’t sold in the UK so I became excited and intrigued when I spotted these on Amazon. I’ve seen and heard a lot about the Milani baked blushes in various youtube videos and blog posts and wanted to see if they would live up to the hype, and they definitely do.

The packaging is really pretty and I love the way you can clearly see the colours on top.  I forgot to take a picture but underneath the blusher there is a little compartment including a small, round mirror and a mini brush. The brush isn’t great quality but I suppose if you were really stuck and didn’t have a better brush with you, it’s a very handy idea. I purchased the colours 06 Bellissimo Bronze, 05 Luminoso and 10 Delizioso Pink.

(from left to right)
Delizioso Pink is a bright, matte, barbie pink. It looks pretty daunting but on the cheeks it appears much more subtle and is really flattering. I can’t wait to use this in Spring/Summer.

Luminoso is a corally, orange toned colour with a little shimmer. The pigmentation of these blushes is just incredible and all look so pretty on the skin.

Bellissimo Bronze is a darker copper colour with some shimmer in it. When I first got it and swatched it onto my hand I felt very apprehensive as it looks super glittery. However, after lightly applying it onto my cheeks and face I found it’s much less sparkly, although being so pale, I need a light hand or it can look too much.

I was so impressed with these baked blushes that I then bought the Milani illuminating face powder in 03 Beauty’s touch and I am in love. The packaging is super pretty and I love the rose effect.  Since I bought this I’ve been using it every single day. Mixing all these colours together creates a beautiful light pink colour with a hint of shimmer which I adore. It’s beautiful and I’ve already gone and ordered another colour which I can’t wait to try out.

 Thank you for reading! x
